Retail & Store Manager, Merchandising

As a Merchandising Manager at Burlington, you’ll play a key role in day‑to‑day store management, overseeing sales floor maintenance, recovery, fitting rooms, sizing and other operational areas to deliver a great shopping experience with WOW values for our customers.
Responsibilities- Monitor the store’s sales performance daily using all available sales reports.
- Provide guidance to the Selling Floor Supervisor and receiving team to expedite merchandise flow from receiving to the sales floor.
- Coordinate sales promotions, floor sets, and ensure accurate pricing of store merchandise.
- Oversee floor moves, prepare merchandise displays and presentations consistent with merchandising concepts and guidelines.
- Support the Store Manager in resolving merchandising issues and obtain guidance for best practices including comparative shopping analysis, fast and slow selling classifications and styles, and customer requests.
- Ensure merchandise is sized to standards, signage is replaced and updated, ticketing is accurate and up to date, and packaged merchandise is sealed.
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD); set the leadership example for customers, associates, and drive results in the store.
- Assist the Store Manager and others with staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning.
- Communicate effectively with District and Regional Management teams.
- 3+ years of Retail Management experience at an Off‑Price, Big Box, Specialty or medium‑to‑large‑sized multi‑unit retail organization with experience in fashion apparel merchandising.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Experience utilizing scheduling and reporting computer software.
- Travel may be required from time to time.
