Job SummaryResponsible for executing Acquisition 365, renewing, upgrading, and cross‑selling BJ’s loyalty programs. Handles merchandise returns, exchanges, pick‑ups, and general customer service inquiries, providing excellent and efficient member service.
Key Responsibilities- Promotes BJ’s value proposition regarding acquisition, retention, perks, and the member experience.
- Converts potential members by actively pitching all membership programs in line with company policies.
- Sells BJ’s membership products to new and existing members with high energy and determination.
- Drives toward goal achievement defined by business‑established benchmarks and results.
- Exhibits clear understanding of all BJ’s membership options and Co‑Brand credit card.
- Delivers superior customer service by addressing membership, credit card, and general inquiries, merchandise returns, exchanges, product lookup, and pick‑ups.
- Follows tax‑exempt/resale membership policies for retention processes, monitoring renewals, and tax‑exempt/resale status.
- Resolves member concerns courteously and timely, escalating to PIC or MOD as necessary.
- Assists with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders for members.
- Maintains all club policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including work in additional departments.
- Ensures regular, predictable, full attendance as an essential function of the role.
- Works as a team to achieve goals, maintaining commitment, pride, and adherence to GOLD club standards, including GAA (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate), speed, friendliness, freshness, cleanliness, and accurate signage.
- Knows how to access and read production and financial reporting for the department, connecting consistent execution to business impact.
- Prior front‑line/customer service or previous sales experience preferred.
- Results driven with proven success in goal achievement.
- Basic math skills preferred.
- Computer proficiency preferred.
Work is mainly in a stationary position on hard surfaces. May involve bending, handling, pulling, reaching, or stooping, and lifting objects up to 30 pounds. Heavy or awkward objects over 30 pounds may require assistance. Work is performed in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent temperature extremes and loud noises. Occasional contact with cleaning agents may occur.
CompensationPay range starts at $17.25, actual salaries vary by location, education, experience, and qualifications.
