The following outlines the shift schedule, compensation, benefits, responsibilities, qualifications, and required experience for the Forklift Operator position.

• 1st Shift – Mon‑Fri 7:00 am–3:30 pm
• A Shift – Sun‑Wed 5:00 am–3:30 pm
• B Shift – Wed‑Sat 5:00 am–3:30 pm
• C Shift – Mon‑Thu‑Fri 5:00 am–3:30 pm
• W Shift – Sun‑Mon‑Fri‑Sat 5:00 am–3:30 pm
• 2nd Shift – Mon‑Fri 4:00 pm–12:30 am
• D Shift – Sun‑Wed 4:00 pm–12:30 am
• E Shift – Tue‑Fri 4:00 pm–12:30 am
• F Shift – Sun‑Mon‑Thu‑Fri 4:00 pm–12:30 am

Starting pay rate is $18–$21 per hour. Employees receive quarterly $0.50 per hour step increases during the first year, bringing the rate to the starting rate plus $2 by year‑end.

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to handle freight inbound and outbound, maintain warehouse organization, and support proper loading and unloading of trailers.

• Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operation.
• Operate sit‑down forklifts and/or electric pallet jacks.
• Use computers and handheld RF equipment as needed.
• Load and unload RJW trucks/trailers and outside carriers safely and efficiently.
• Work flexible 10‑ to 12‑hour shifts as required and handle heights safely.
• Pick and move stock ranging from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded.
• Maintain orderly stacking and housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Process outbound cross‑dock freight.
• Store stock properly and move products into storage racks.
• Pick customer orders and load trailers based on warehouse operations sheets.
• Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Complete all documentation and paperwork accurately.
• Operate forklifts following OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
• Wear seatbelts at all times when operating a forklift.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
• Handle customer products orderly.
• Inspect deliveries for poor packing, condition, and damage; notify Warehouse Supervisor and capture photos if necessary.
• Report all accidents or incidents, damage to stock or buildings immediately to Shift Supervisor.
• Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and equipment flow.
• Maintain dock door access inside and outside the facility, keeping them free of debris or snow.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Demonstrate a sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Understand and use computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Pay attention to detail and maintain quality.
• Communicate clearly and concisely; resolve problems and interact well with people.
• Provide overtime flexibility and cover other shifts when needed.
• Employ PC skills.
• Have major experience on sit‑down forklifts/EPJs.
• Build pallets with stock and break down stock for independent orders.
• Process cross‑dock freight.
• Work in a fast‑paced warehouse.

• 3–6 months forklift driving experience in a warehouse with sit‑down forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Good, stable work record.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Warehousing certifications are a plus.
