Starting pay rate is $20‑$23 per hour. You will receive quarterly $0.50 per hour step increases during your first year of employment, bringing the pay rate to [starting rate + $2] by the end of your first year at RJW.

To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; load/unload RJW truck/trailers and outside carriers safely using proper procedures; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; store stock in the warehouse; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities.
Work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load onto trailers; maintain forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
- Operate sit‑down forklift and/or EPJ.
- Use computer and handheld RF equipment.
- Load and unload RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.
- Work 10‑12 hour shifts when necessary; not afraid of heights.
- Pick and move stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
- Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and load properly.
- Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
- Process outbound cross‑dock freight as necessary.
- Oversee storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into storage racks.
- Work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load onto trailers.
- Record and verify the accuracy of shipments against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
- Ensure all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures. This includes wearing seatbelts at all times when operating the forklift.
- Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
- Handle all customer products properly and orderly.
- Check deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and damage. Alert Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
- Report all accidents/incidents, employee damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
- Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
- Maintain access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility, keeping them free of debris or snow.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
- Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.
- Use computer and handheld RF equipment.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Pay attention to detail and quality.
- Communicate clearly and concisely; resolve problems and interact well with people.
- Be flexible to work overtime when needed and provide coverage to other shifts.
- PC skills helpful.
- Have major experience on sit‑down forklifts/EPJ.
- Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders.
- Experience in cross‑docking freight process.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse.
- 3‑6 months of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit‑down forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Good stable work record.
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Warehousing certifications a plus.
