Production Supervisor-Powder Coating

Position Summary

Supervisor will supervise the day‑to‑day activities of the welding/powder coating team that performs warehouse functions at an OEM manufacturing center. This position is responsible for ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the manufacturing process while leading and managing a team of production. Must have Powder Coating experience.

• Enforce compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company‑specific policies.

• Ensure all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all products are handled and stored correctly to prevent damage.
• Address and resolve any issues or escalated to shift management.
• Implement and maintain quality control processes, identifying defects and recommending corrective actions.

• Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Handle incident reports as needed.

• Ensure proper execution of all related warehouse processes including inbound, outbound, internal put‑away, picking, shipping, and production replenishment; and waste stream management including trash and recyclables.
• Ensure proper levels of warehouse staffing to support plant operations.
• Conduct layered process audits as directed and track and report results.
• Complete all required recording of warehouse movements and reporting as directed by MCL Site Manager.
• Act as a backup to warehouse associates in times of staff shortages or work overload.

• Track, audit, and ensure accuracy of inventory throughout the warehouse.
• Monitor completeness, accuracy, and compliance during inventory transactions.
• Work with MCL Site Manager on E&O inventory and disposition.
• Execute cycle count schedule in compliance with corporate accounting objectives.
• Investigate, identify, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Audit process and paper flow errors to spot inconsistencies that lead to inaccuracy.
• Track productivity measures for all teams and update productivity reports as relevant.

• Continuously identify areas for process improvement to increase operational efficiency.
• Work with management to implement new technologies or strategies to streamline warehouse operations.
• Track and report warehouse metrics (e.g., inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates).

• Prepare regular reports on warehouse operations, including inventory levels, order status, and performance metrics.
• Communicate with other departments (such as purchasing and customer service) to coordinate timely deliveries and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, inspections, and compliance records.
• Conduct regular audits and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• 4+ years of experience in a warehouse environment required.
• 1+ year of experience leading a warehouse team required.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Must have Powder Coating experience.

• OSHA compliant MHE certifications based on plant equipment with continued renewal as per regulations.

• MS Office, especially Excel.
• Working knowledge in order processing systems and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively to groups of employees.
