St. Martin’s Episcopal School is seeking experienced, energetic Summer Camp Division Leaders to join our Summer Camp leadership team.
This is a leadership role for individuals who enjoy working with children, mentoring staff, and helping create a safe, engaging, and well‑organized camp experience.

Division Leaders work with children ages 5–12 and serve as the primary leaders for their assigned camp group. First and foremost, Division Leaders are responsible for the safety, care, and well‑being of all campers and for supporting and supervising counselors within their division. Division Leaders are expected to model professionalism, enthusiasm, and strong leadership while maintaining open communication with the Camp Director and working collaboratively with counselors and support staff.
You will report directly to the Summer Camp Director and interact daily with counselors, campers, parents/caregivers, and other St. Martin’s Episcopal School summer staff.
Key Responsibilities Camper & Staff SupervisionMaintain awareness of each camper’s special needs, including allergies, medications, and emergency information
Coordinate camper care with the Camp Director and Health Care Manager when appropriate
Serve as the primary responder for camper concerns or behavioral issues and elevate concerns as needed
Ensure campers are supervised at all times, including during arrival, dismissal, lunch, and transitions
Track daily attendance and submit rolls to the Camp Director each morning
Supervise lunch by remaining with assigned groups at all times
Model positive leadership and behavior for campers and staff
Supervise, support, and provide direction to counselors and CITs
Address performance concerns directly, fairly, and in a timely manner and report concerns to the Camp Director
Provide ongoing, constructive feedback and support to counselors
Report counselor absences to ensure appropriate coverage
Assist the Camp Director with evaluations of counselors and CITs
Lead and attend counselor meetings as scheduled
Follow camp schedules and participate enthusiastically in all camp activities
Teach skills through hands‑on participation and small group instruction
Develop and lead age‑appropriate activities
Prepare backup activities for rainy days, schedule changes, and downtime
Assist with planning special camp‑wide activities and themed events
Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
Carry and maintain first aid supplies during off‑campus activities and field trips
Monitor program areas to ensure they are free of hazards and debris
Report safety concerns or facility issues immediately
Maintain open communication with the Camp Director, counselors, and families
Attend all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions
Perform additional duties as needed to support the overall camp program
Must be at least 22 years old
Minimum two years of experience working with children
College degree preferred
Teacher certification preferred
CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (Must be certified prior to the first day of camp)
