The Person nel Consulting Group is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Project Engineer for one of the Gulf Coast’s premier heavy commercial general contractors. In this role, you will be a vital link between the field operations, project management team, design professionals, and subcontractors. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain comprehensive, hands-on exposure to major commercial construction projects while fast-tracking your career growth.
- Project Documentation:
Manage, track, and process RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project change orders to keep construction moving efficiently. - Collaboration:
Partner closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to monitor project schedules, material deliveries, and quality control. - Subcontractor Coordination:
Assist in coordinating subcontractor workflows and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. - Field Support:
Spend time on-site tracking progress, verifying field conditions, and assisting with project close-out documentation.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred. - Experience:
1–3 years of experience in commercial construction (internship experience will be considered). - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and scheduling tools is a plus. - Attributes: A proactive communicator with strong organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for the construction industry.
