Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

The Project Engineer candidate is responsible for planning, executing, and managing geotechnical engineering projects from proposal through to final report. This position involves both field and office work, including subsurface investigations, laboratory coordination, engineering analysis, and client communication.

• Plan and conduct geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling, borehole drilling, and laboratory testing.
• Perform geotechnical analyses, including slope stability, settlement, foundation design, and earth retention systems.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and construction specifications.
• Assist in developing project proposals, budgets, and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance.
• Provide technical support during construction, including site visits, inspections, and problem resolution.
• Utilize geotechnical software such as Geo Studio, LPILE, gINT, or similar tools for analysis and design.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support senior engineers and project managers in project planning and execution.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and field technicians as needed.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 3+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, field investigations, and design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments as needed.
• Ability to pass Eustis Engineering’s required background check as well as our drug/alcohol screening.
