Structural Engineer

AXIS Engineering is an innovative engineering group that offers civil and structural engineering services for various projects across the Gulf South. The company specializes in services like site design, drainage planning, structural building design/drafting, and structural inspections/evaluations, among others.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Structural Engineer located in Metairie, LA. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as calculations, structural analysis, structural inspections, and utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software for various engineering projects.

• Calculations and Structural Analysis skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Utilize software to analyze structures and ensure their integrity
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for construction projects
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of work
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success
• Perform calculations for structural analysis
• Utilize Autocad/Revit for drafting and design purposes
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
