We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk on a contract basis in Methuen, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting essential accounting processes. • Accurately input and manage financial data in accounting systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, invoices, and vendor accounts to verify accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create, update, and maintain spreadsheets for financial tracking and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of financial documents, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Organize and maintain financial records and filing systems to ensure easy accessibility.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to address discrepancies and respond to financial inquiries.
• Provide support during month-end closing processes by ensuring all financial data is correctly entered and reconciled.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations when recording data.
• Offer general administrative assistance to the finance team as needed.
