Aboutthe Position of Automotive Mechanic
As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They handle undercar repairs such as brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum of 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
- Extensive toolbox of personal tools used for undercar repairs
- State inspection license(s)
- ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5)
Automotive mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. Mechanics regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
