Step into a dynamic educational environment where your expertise in occupational therapy will make a direct and lasting impact. For this contract opportunity, you’ll provide specialized OT support to PreK and high school students with a variety of needs, focusing particularly on social-emotional, behavioral, and autism spectrum challenges. Located near Methuen, this onsite position runs from July 6th to August 13th, with a consistent Monday through Thursday schedule (8:30 am 2:30 pm, 22 hours each week).

You’ll engage with students both individually and in group settings, helping them build essential skills that support their learning and daily success.

Qualifications
  • Valid and active Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts
  • Experience in school-based OT settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and background in supporting students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD)
  • Familiarity with interventions for social-emotional and behavioral needs, especially in preschool and elementary populations
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary educational teams
  • Adaptability and compassion in addressing diverse student abilities and needs
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide direct OT services to PreK and high school students, focusing on both social-emotional and developmental challenges
  • Assess student needs and create targeted intervention plans that help promote engagement and participation in school activities
  • Document progress in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to maximize student outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings and share insights to promote holistic support for students
