Overview
Vaco by Highspring has partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing organization and they are looking to bring on board a Plant Controller.
The Plant Controller is responsible for supporting the Corporate Controller in managing the company's financial operations by assisting with tasks like preparing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, reviewing accounting information for accuracy, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and maintaining internal controls, all while working with the accounting team and the General Manager to produce accurate financial reports for company and other entities when necessary.
Responsibilities- Financial Reporting:
Assisting in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and other ad hoc information. - Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborating with the Corporate Controller and FP&A Director to develop and manage budgets, including forecasting future financial performance. - Internal Controls:
Helping to implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. - Accounting Operations:
Overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks such as vendor – and customer management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and reviewing transactions for accuracy. - Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements. - Audit Preparation:
Assisting with the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation for external audits. - Collaboration:
Working closely with other departments within the company to gather necessary financial information and communicate key financial metrics. - Other Responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in an accounting role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modeling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
