DescriptionEstablished in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.
GLFHC is currently seeking a Grant Specialist. The Grant Specialist works under the direction of the Clinical Program leader and collaborates with central grants management and finance to ensure all requirements of the grant are met and reported to funders. This role will manage the grant components of the clinical programs, working closely with both the clinical team and finance to ensure updated expenses & billing data is used to inform programmatic decision-making.
In this role the Grant Specialist will be responsible for monitoring grant fund allocations, including tracking and approving invoices for finance submission.
Qualifications
- Effective financial and analytical skills, including budget development, grant and contract management
- Familiarity with grant funding processes, regulations, and compliance
- Excellent, concise writing and editing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, grant management software tools
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent research and analytic skills, comfortable working with data
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field
- Three years or greater experience in grant management with strong knowledge of health care, preferably community health centers or other not for profits
