Job Summary
As an Inspector 2 at MKS, Inc., you will partner with the Inspection team to perform first detailed inspections of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, and equipment, and document results.
Responsibilities- Perform first detailed inspection of incoming or purged parts, materials, components, assemblies, equipment, and document results.
- Coordinate the collection and disposition of purged material.
- Determine or assist in determining methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for inspection.
- Work from written procedures, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Generate engineering change requests to correct drawing issues noted during inspection.
- Adapt inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary.
- High school completion, vocational training, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of related inspection experience.
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques, reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Intermediate mathematical skills and ability to use specialized equipment.
- Ability to maintain written records, communicate findings, and operate measurement devices such as vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, drop indicators, radius gauges, gage blocks, height gauges, and digital multimeters.
- Knowledge of measurement accuracy and terminology; experience with CMM preferred; CMM programming a plus.
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems to obtain drawings and enter data.
- Sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination; occasionally moves objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position about 50-70% of the time.
- Work in a professional office or manufacturing environment.
- Operate a computer and office productivity machinery continuously.
- Commitment to safety with handling mechanical/electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat.
- Noise level usually average.
Hourly pay range: $18.71 - 31.52 per hour.
