Our Quality and Logistics team ensures that all machines leave the Massachusetts location in the best condition possible for our customers. They also provide delivery, logistics and training services to our customers.

The Equipment Handling/Shop Specialist is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate movement, maintenance support of equipment and materials throughout the facility. In addition, the Equipment Handling/Shop Specialist is responsible for keeping the shop and warehouse a clean, organized and safe working environment for associates and customers. The Equipment Handling/Shop Specialist position is a key part of our PDI, Quality and Logistics team.

In this position, you are the last set of eyes and hands on the equipment before it ships out to the customer and are an integral part of our quality control. Responsibilities include managing products in the warehouse, unloading containers and loading outbound trucks, setting up equipment for the pre-delivery inspection process, transporting equipment and parts between business locations, cleaning and checking over machines before shipping, warehouse and shop cleanliness.

The Equipment Handling Specialist helps to ensure that all processes run smoothly within the PDI, Quality and Logistics department.

• Assist PDI Technicians in order to gain knowledge of the equipment.
• Learn how to complete a full Pre-Delivery Inspection on each model machine.
• Learn how to troubleshoot common problems found on machines in PDI.
• Prepare equipment for distribution, outgoing shipments, or trade shows.
• Report malfunctioning or unsafe equipment to a supervisor and support repair coordination.
• Learn how to use our ERP and become familiar with PDI checklists and work orders. Manage equipment in the warehouse (receiving, tracking, shipping, inventory).
• Set up machines and trailers for pre-delivery inspection for PDI.
• Move equipment around the warehouse and yard.
• Safely operate a variety of material-handling and lifting equipment such as class IV & V forklifts, pallet jacks, and hoists. (if not certified, will train) .
• Obtain a 1C hoisting license to operate a telehandler (if not certified, will train).
• Transport equipment and parts between warehouses and service locations.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks, containers, or transport units.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized operational spaces to reduce hazards.
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with yard and warehouse design, organization, and flow (shelves, racks, tools, etc), make suggestions for improvements.
• Ensure yard and warehouse are in compliance with safety requirements (OSHA 10, OSHA 30) and ensure yard and warehouse are neat and organized, maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the…
