Job Overview

CDL A Transit Driver - Doubles Endorsement Required.

Location:

555 W Lytell St, Metter, GA. The role involves transporting loaded and empty trailers—singles or doubles—between GFS Distribution Centers and other points via night transit. Night shifts allow you to be home each day. No touch freight is required.

• Transport loaded and empty trailers (singles or doubles) from GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point via night transit.
• Operate a 10‑speed transmission and handle trailers with no auto restriction.
• Complete routes during night shifts, ensuring timely delivery and safety.

Monday – Friday. Start time between 12:00pm and 3:00pm, working until the route is complete. Component pay: $279 per day minimum plus additional pay per trip. Weekly pay. Total Rewards include affordable benefits starting day one.

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Class A CDL license at hire, with a Doubles (T) endorsement.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a Class A license.
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50lb (connecting trailers).
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record required by DOT and GFS standards.
• Registration with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and electronic consent are required for employment consideration.
