K-2 ESL Teacher & Academic Interventionist
ESL Instruction:
Design and deliver engaging language lessons within the general education setting tailored to multilingual learners across speaking, listening, reading, and writing domains. Coach and support homeroom teachers in using sheltered instruction strategies. Maintain frequent, culturally responsive communication with families regarding language growth and strategies for supporting learning at home.
Targeted Interventions:
Conduct push-in and pull-out intervention sessions for K-2 students struggling with early literacy, phonemic awareness, phonics, and/or foundational math. Active participation in RTI team meetings to identify at-risk students, evaluate intervention efficacy, and adjust support tiers.
Qualifications:
Valid State Teaching Certification in ESL/ELL (K-12 or K-6) and Elementary Education.
Our salary guide starts at Step 1A (for a Bachelor's Degree) at $61,500/year, 10-month position, for the 26-27 school year. The District covers mentor fees for teachers with provisional certifications.
