Job Overview
Premier Banker - responsible for servicing a complex portfolio of mass affluent clients, managing their complete banking relationship and connecting them to specialists to ensure all financial needs are met.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for a complex client portfolio of mass affluent clients.
- Proactively manage the complete banking relationship, connecting clients to specialists to fulfill their financial needs.
- Grow, deepen, and retain client relationships by delivering TD’s model of convenience, sales, and advice, creating a personalized, connected experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency and in‑depth knowledge of banking and credit products, explaining solutions fluently and acting as liaison with internal partners in small business, wealth, commercial, and lending.
- Acquire, retain, and deepen relationships by converting referrals, leads, and outbound prospecting.
- Engage in client outreach via phone, email, appointments, and other means; conduct needs‑based conversations, review financial information, suggest appropriate solutions, and coordinate introductions with partners.
- Deliver excellent client service, review moderately complex concerns, and appropriately escalates banking related issues or risks.
- Adhere to all relevant retail/wealth policies, procedures, FINRA, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Engage customers in loan product conversations, facilitate application intake, and maintain an active NMLS registration.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners, identifying opportunities for relationship deepening in wealth, commercial, small business, lending, etc.
- Provide coaching and feedback to bank staff on effective ways to articulate program value and make Premier referrals for mass affluent clients.
- Implement TD’s Client Identification Program (CIP) by collecting and verifying required customer identification, performing due diligence and enhanced due diligence requirements.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Bachelor’s or equivalent university degree (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of financial/banking experience.
- Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) strongly preferred.
- Life & Health license preferred.
- Experience interacting with mass affluent and high net‑worth clients.
- Consultative sales experience required.
- Understanding of retail and small business banking.
- Active registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) upon hire.
- Ability to comply with regulatory, policy, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, relationship building and problem‑solving skills.
- Background check clearance (criminal and credit).
