BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist for a job in Metuchen, New Jersey.

Employment Type:

Staff. Ongoing opportunity with either full-time or per-diem arrangements. Sign-on bonus: $10,000 for full-time OT positions.

• Perform outpatient therapy evaluations to develop plans of care for patients in designated senior living communities or in group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Operate at top of licensure using current evidence-based approaches to maximize functional independence.
• Collaborate with home health therapy partners to transition care from home health to outpatient services to achieve client-centered goals in their living environment.
• Educate clients, families, and community caregivers on care plans to support a team approach to maximizing functional independence.
• Perform evaluations, treatments, and proper discharge planning for clients using the outpatient EMR platform to document individualized treatment approaches.

• Current NJ Occupational Therapist license.
• Prior home care experience is preferred, but not required.
• A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation and the AOTA, as indicated by transcript or diploma.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications and subject to negotiation: $60.00 - $68.00 per hour/point.
