Payroll Specialist

Description

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist in Middlesex County, NJ. In this role you will be responsible for payroll processing, prevailing wage requirements, employee onboarding, and more! Responsibilities:

- Process certified payroll for employees with precision and compliance.

- Manage payroll for prevailing wage projects.

- Ensure adherence to union payroll regulations and guidelines when applicable.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure timely processing.

- Verify and prepare payroll documentation for audits or reporting purposes.

- Maintain accurate records and reports related to payroll activities.

- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Apply expertise in New Jersey payroll laws and requirements to maintain compliance.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.

- Proficiency in handling multi-state payroll operations.

- Familiarity with certified payroll processes and prevailing wage requirements.

- Experience using payroll software for payroll management.

- Strong understanding of payroll regulations in New Jersey.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively and resolve payroll-related issues.
