Job Summary

As a Welder at Fluid Power Support, you will apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches using manual welding equipment.

Job Duties
  • Perform high quality welds in all positions (vertical up, down, flat and overhead).
  • Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Perform high quality welds on stainless steel and other alloys.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure welds meet specifications and standards.
  • Maintain welding equipment.
  • Utilize various hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments to complete tasks.
  • Repair parts that fail inspection.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  • Successful completion of internal welding test.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Manages time wisely.
Experience and Education Required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in various forms of welding.
Pay and Benefits
  • Full‑time position, 40+ hours per week.
  • Day shift – Monday thru Friday.

Physical Demands
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 70 lbs unassisted, bend, stand, climb or walk.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment

In our facility, employees may be exposed to excessive noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust and ambient temperatures.

  • Steel‑toed boots or shoes.
  • Hearing protection.
  • Welding hood.
