Position Summary:

Arthur Center is looking for a dedicated, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Primary Care team and play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality patient care across our clinic. In this role, you will prepare patients for visits, obtain health histories, perform point-of-care testing, administer medications, and support physicians and mid-level providers with a wide range of clinical tasks — all while treating every patient with dignity, attention, and genuine care.

Patient Preparation and Clinical Assessment

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment by obtaining and documenting health histories, performing medication reconciliation, identifying health risk factors, taking vital signs, and assessing patient needs using the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Triage and respond to patient communications following established clinical protocols.
• Assist patients in accessing lab testing, medications, specialty care, and social services necessary to support a healthy lifestyle.
• Treat patients, family members, and other staff with dignity and respect at all times.

• Complete nursing tasks as assigned including refilling medications per provider orders, completing medication prior authorizations, administering prescribed medications, and performing injections.
• Perform various point-of-care tests as needed.
• Obtain various samples as directed by providers.
• Assist patients with patient assistance program paperwork.
• Maintain sample medication records in accordance with accreditation requirements.

• Provide education to patients on various diseases, conditions, and treatment strategies in accordance with provider orders.
• Support patients in understanding their care plans and navigating next steps in their treatment.

• Prepare and maintain clinical equipment and stock exam rooms with medical supplies to ensure availability.
• Assure that clinical areas are clean, safe, and organized to prevent cross-contamination and protect patient safety.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
