Job overview:

Schneider is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Mexico City to create solutions for business problems through the designing and programming of automated systems. The Software Engineer will provide senior-level support through analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining custom program code and applications that support business processes and functions.

Responsibilities:

Act as a subject matter expert in one or more specialties.
Work independently on complex work and projects.
Design, code, test, debug and implement solutions for new system development, enhancements of existing systems and implementation of third-party products.
Perform complex tasks relating to the design and development of solutions requiring design patterns, performance considerations and supportability by others.
Support the resolution of deployment, warranty and post-warranty issues and defects and other domain-related design problems.
Work with other IT associates throughout the full software development life cycle.
Coach and lead less experienced IT associates.

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
Minimum of four years of relevant IT experience.
Advanced in Java-based software development.
Advanced knowledge of system design and development, development patterns, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
Understanding of business and IT strategies, architectural standards and software capabilities.
Strong problem-solving skills.
