The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Accounts Payable function at The Setai, Miami Beach. The Accounts Payable Manager works closely with department leaders, corporate finance teams, and vendors to resolve issues, improve processes, and support operational excellence within a luxury hospitality environment.
Essential ResponsibilitiesManage all Accounts Payable operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
Develop and maintain internal controls, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Oversee vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and disputes.
Manage cash disbursement activities, including check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and international payments.
Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Work closely with department heads and leadership to monitor expenditures and support budget management.
Review Accounts Payable activity and recommend improvements to efficiency and internal controls.
Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
Supervise, train, and support Accounts Payable team members.
Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and process-improvement initiatives.
Serve as a liaison among Finance, Procurement, Operations, vendors, and corporate stakeholders.

Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Minimum of five years of progressive accounting or Accounts Payable experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or management role.
Previous experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, Accounts Payable processes, and audit requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP and hospitality financial systems.
Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships across all levels of the organization.
