About the Role
At Flow, we believe the strongest ideas become real when they can be explored quickly, spatially, and with intention.
We're looking for a Senior Interior Designer with strong 3D capabilities and a sensibility rooted in furniture, product, and interior design — someone who can take an early idea and rapidly give it form.
This person will play an important role during the concept design phase, helping the team visualize and test spaces before moving into implementation. From a built-in banquette to a custom table, from an FF&E composition to an entire amenity space, you should be comfortable moving fluidly between the scale of the room and the scale of the object.
You are a designer first, but 3D is one of the ways you think. You model quickly, explore alternatives, understand proportions and materials, and use visualization as a creative design tool rather than simply a final presentation tool.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys making, testing, refining, and turning ideas into something the broader team can see, understand, and ultimately build.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior concepts through fast, iterative 3D modeling, helping the team explore spatial ideas, furniture arrangements, proportions, materials, and design alternatives before moving into detailed implementation
- Translate sketches, references, conversations, and early creative direction into compelling 3D studies that allow ideas to be evaluated quickly and accurately
- Design spaces at multiple scales — from complete amenity environments to individual furniture pieces, built-in banquettes, millwork, lighting elements, and other custom features
- Bring a strong furniture and product design sensibility to Flow interiors, understanding how form, proportion, ergonomics, materiality, and construction come together
- Develop FF&E concepts and layouts with a strong understanding of how furniture creates atmosphere, community, privacy, flexibility, and different ways of using a space
- Produce both 3D and 2D design materials, including spatial models, furniture studies, elevations, plans, material studies, presentations, and design documentation
- Explore materials, finishes, fabrics, colors, and construction approaches, translating material inspiration into practical applications across interiors and furniture
- Create high-quality visualizations and presentation materials that communicate design intent clearly and quickly during internal creative reviews
- Work closely with the Head of Interior Design and broader creative team to rapidly visualize ideas, respond to feedback, and develop multiple design options when needed
- Collaborate with technical, procurement, architecture, and construction teams to transition approved concepts into implementation while protecting the original design intent
- Work with furniture manufacturers, fabricators, and vendors to develop custom pieces and translate design concepts into prototypes and production-ready solutions
- Contribute to the evolution of Flow's furniture collection, FF&E language, material palette, and broader interior design vocabulary across projects and geographies
Ideal Background
- 8–10+ years of professional experience across interior design, furniture design, product design, architecture, hospitality, or related creative disciplines
- A portfolio demonstrating a strong combination of interior environments, furniture and/or product design, custom elements, and sophisticated spatial thinking
- Exceptional 3D modeling capabilities and the ability to model quickly. You use 3D as part of your everyday design process — not only to document a finished idea, but to discover and develop it
- Strong proficiency in relevant 3D modeling and visualization software, with the ability to move rapidly from rough studies to refined design representations
- Strong 2D capabilities and an understanding of plans, elevations, dimensions, detailing, and how design information transitions toward technical documentation
- Experience designing custom furniture, built-in banquettes, millwork, casegoods, tables, seating, or other interior elements, with a good understanding of materials and fabrication
- Strong knowledge of…
