The Grade 5 Judaic Studies Teacher is a full-time, on-site position located in Miami Beach, FL. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging Judaic Studies lessons aligned with school standards and Torah values, including Chumash, Navi, Mishna, Halacha, and Jewish holidays as appropriate for Grade
5. Daily responsibilities include developing lesson plans, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs, assessing student progress, and providing timely feedback to students and families. The teacher will maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment, manage classroom routines, and collaborate with grade-level and Judaic/general studies colleagues to support student growth. Additional duties include participating in faculty meetings, school events, professional development, and contributing to the spiritual and cultural life of the school community.

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in:
- Chumash (Torah)
- Navi (as applicable)
- Jewish Holidays and Traditions
- Middot (Jewish Values and Character Education)
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods, technologies, and instructional resources.
- Foster critical thinking, textual analysis, and meaningful discussions.
- Prepare students for assessments, projects, presentations, and school-wide programs.
- Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and growth.
- Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and provide interventions.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and families.
- Develop and implement enrichment and support strategies as needed.
- Establish a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
- Maintain clear behavioral expectations consistent with school policies.
- Promote student responsibility, collaboration, and leadership.
- Create a safe learning environment that supports academic and emotional growth.
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, specialists, administrators, and support staff.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional learning communities, and school events.
- Serve as a positive Jewish role model for students.
- Encourage student participation in tefillah, holiday celebrations, chesed projects, and school-wide Jewish programming.
- Support and contribute to the school's mission, vision, and culture.
- Participate in assemblies, special programs, field trips, and community events as required.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and growth.
- Stay current with best practices in Judaic Studies instruction and educational technology.
- Fulfill all professional responsibilities in a timely and ethical manner.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration, such as student arrival/dismissal, lunch supervision, etc.
