St. Patrick Catholic Preschool, in Miami Beach, Florida is seeking a full- time Preschool Teacher Assistant for the 2026- 2027 school year. This position follows the school-year calendar. The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and able to collaborate effectively as part of a team to supervise students and facilitate age-appropriate activities. The candidate will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.

• High School Diploma required.
• CDA or FCCPC preferred.
• Completion of DCF Child Care Training requirements.
• Universal Precautions/Exposure Plan (DCF).
• Safe Sleep/Shaken Baby Syndrome training.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong classroom management and supervision skills.
• Ability to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment.
• Effective oral and written English communication skills.
• Professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code, and strong work ethic.
• Must be of good moral character and supportive of the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church; prior experience in a Catholic environment preferred.

In addition to the eligibility requirements indicated in the Archdiocese of Miami Policy “Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment for Children and Vulnerable Adults,” the selected candidate must undergo a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and be granted a determination of eligibility as a condition of employment.
