LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established, multi-entity private family office in Miami Beach to identify an accomplished Assistant CFO / Financial Controller. This is a high-visibility leadership role positioned directly beneath the CFO, with a defined path to step into the CFO role within approximately one year as part of succession planning.

This opportunity is ideal for a strong Senior Accounting Manager or Controller who has corporate accounting depth, multi-entity oversight experience, and wants to grow into executive leadership.

About the Role

This individual will sit above the Controller and play a critical part in ensuring structure, accuracy, and excellence across a diverse portfolio of entities. The environment is entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and hands-on — perfect for someone who thrives in high-accountability, owner-facing settings.

You'll be heavily involved in accounting operations across:

• 50+ entities
• A portfolio of ~10 real estate properties (primary focus)
• Hospitality, restaurants, entertainment, royalties, and investment entities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle corporate accounting across multiple entities
• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and depreciation
• Review, organize, and strengthen financials across the portfolio
• Supervise the Controller and support broader accounting staff
• Provide high-level reporting and insights to ownership
• Ensure clean, accurate, timely financials in a high-discretion environment

Required Experience

• Real estate accounting experience (non-negotiable)
• Fully bilingual in English & Spanish
• Strong multi-entity accounting and financial reporting
• Background in accrual accounting and depreciation
• Experience working directly with ownership or senior executives
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on
• Quick Books + Excel proficiency

Nice to Have

• Hospitality or restaurant accounting exposure
• Royalty / entertainment accounting exposure
• Family office experience
• Experience in entrepreneurial, owner-led environments
