Vice President, Finance & Banking

Location: Miami Beach, FL (in-office) or New York, NY (remote)

Our client is a highly successful investment management firm with over $1B in assets under management, currently launching an innovative private equity strategy focused on the legal services sector. Backed by a seasoned investment committee and leadership team, the firm is in the process of raising its inaugural $250M fund and is seeking an exceptional investment professional to join its growing team.

This is a rare opportunity to be an early hire dedicated to this strategy, working directly with senior leadership to evaluate, execute, and manage investments in leading law firms across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and underwriting of prospective investments
• Build and maintain complex financial models, including valuation, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative evaluation of investment opportunities
• Partner with the General Partner and Investment Committee on investment recommendations and portfolio strategy
• Lead industry, market, and competitive research to identify attractive opportunities
• Monitor portfolio company performance and provide actionable insights
• Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal stakeholders
• Participate in due diligence, management meetings, and transaction execution
• Travel across the U.S. to meet with management teams and assess opportunities

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience within private equity, investment management, or a comparable investing platform
• Prior experience at a highly regarded private equity firm strongly preferred
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting expertise
• Strong understanding of private equity investing and transaction processes
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CFA preferred
