Houseman (Hotel) Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Houseman to join our esteemed hotel team. As a Houseman, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for all our guests. This position is integral to delivering exceptional service and contributing to the smooth daily operations of our establishment.

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, lobbies, and other public areas of the hotel to maintain a clean and attractive environment.
• Assist housekeeping staff by collecting and distributing linens, amenities, and other supplies as needed.
• Address guest requests promptly and efficiently, including delivery of additional towels, bedding, and other necessities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and ensure adequate stock of housekeeping supplies.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks and report any repair needs or safety hazards to the relevant department.
• Support event setups and breakdowns, including arranging furniture and handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the hotel premises.
• Collaborate effectively with all hotel departments to provide seamless service to guests.

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and pushing heavy items.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
