The Room Attendant is responsible for genuinely caring about our guests and providing guest-oriented service at all times. The role provides efficient, prompt, courteous, proactive service to guests.
Essential Functions- Completes all checklists as assigned.
- Collects the daily worksheet each morning with applicable keys, and returns them by the end of the shift.
- Maximizes job efficiency and maintains a neat, orderly appearance by managing the supply cart and vacuum cleaner.
- Stocks supplies on the cart/bag correctly in the morning and afternoon, including linens, guest supplies, and cleaning equipment.
- Sorts out damaged linen or linen needing re-washing and returns them to Laundry.
- Cleans guest rooms daily according to operational policies and standards.
- Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens.
- Removes trash from rooms.
- Cleans bathroom areas.
- Dusts all surfaces.
- Replenishes promotional materials, literature, and stationery.
- Maintains a professional appearance in line with hotel and company guidelines.
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating with and assisting colleagues as needed.
- Promotes hotel services, facilities, and outlets; provides guests with information such as local attractions and directions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentDuring performance of the job, the employee is frequently exposed to variable temperatures (extreme heat or cold), variable noise levels, outdoors/indoors, fumes/odor hazards, dust and/or dust mite hazards, chemicals, and biohazards.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job: the role is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position; hours and days vary based on business needs and may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of hospitality experience preferred.
- High school education preferred.
- Able to speak and understand basic English.
- Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment to resolve issues.
