Housekeeper Position

A private household in the Venetian Islands is seeking an experienced, proactive Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain an approximately 8,000-square-foot, four-bedroom residence for two adults.

This is an informal household with high standards for cleanliness, organization, and attentive service. When the principals and guests are in residence, the home can be fast-paced, with changing priorities and occasional last-minute requests. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to handle immediate needs while keeping regular household responsibilities on track. During approximately four months each year when the principal is traveling, the Housekeeper will maintain the regular Monday–Friday schedule and focus on deep cleaning, organization projects, and general property refreshes.

The Housekeeper will work as part of an established household team alongside a full-time House Manager/Handyman, Personal Assistant, and Private Chef. Training on the household's routines and preferences will be provided by the current Housekeeper.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for extended hours and occasional weekend work when the principal is in residence. Paid overtime provided.

Responsibilities Include:

• Detailed daily cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning throughout the residence
• Premium laundry, ironing, and care of delicate garments
• Coordinating dry cleaning
• Preparing and resetting guest bedrooms
• Changing linens and replenishing household supplies
• Maintaining organized closets, storage areas, and household inventory
• Packing, unpacking, and preparing clothing for shipment
• Receiving packages and household deliveries
• Running errands, including pharmacy pickups and shipping
• Assisting with setup and cleanup for gatherings
• Preparing occasional simple beverages, such as smoothies
• Coordinating with other household staff to ensure daily needs are met
• Basic food preparation or occasional assistance to the Private Chef is a plus, but cooking is not required

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping experience in private residences preferred
• Strong cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and care with fine furnishings and garments
• Seeking a Housekeeper with a strong history of long-term employment in private residences
• Strong professional references from previous private household employers
• Sound judgment and the ability to manage changing priorities
• Dependable, discreet, flexible, and collaborative
• Willingness to learn household preferences and take direction
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle for household errands
• A comprehensive background check is mandatory
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits: $45 to $55 per hour DOE, with paid overtime, full benefits
