Vessel / Patrol Officer (Must have a TWIC card)
Port of Miami Security Officer Positions :
SMI Security is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team at the Port of Miami. We have multiple openings for Security Officers, including Patrol, Vessel Guard, and Full time Supervisors
General Requirements (All Positions) :- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Valid Florida Security D License.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to security protocols.
Specific Position Descriptions :
Vessel Guard Responsibilities- Monitor and control access to vessels within the port.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned vessels and surrounding areas.
- Verify and inspect credentials of personnel boarding vessels.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of vessel activity.
- Respond to and report security incidents and emergencies.
- Enforce port security regulations and procedures.
Shift : Varies, must have flexible availability.
Hours : Guaranteed 32 hours per week.
Pay : $15.00 per hour.
Security Driving Patrol Responsibilities- Conduct mobile patrols of the port perimeter and interior areas.
- Monitor and report suspicious activity.
- Respond to security alarms and incidents.
- Enforce parking and traffic regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities.
- Inspect fences and gates.
- Clean driving record.
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
Shift : Varies, must have flexible availability.
Pay : $15.00 per hour.
Full Time Supervisor Responsibilities- Supervise security officers assigned to weekend shifts.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections and address any security concerns.
- Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate records.
Provide guidance and support to security officers. - Must be able to fill in at any post if needed.
- Previous security supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
Shift : Weekend availability required.
Pay : $15.00 per hour.
