Security Officer Armed Patrol

$22.26 / Hour

• Mon 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM
• Tue 08:30 AM – 05:30 PM
• Sat 07:30 AM – 01:30 PM

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces, verifying access permissions and supporting order during daily operations, special activities, and/or high‑traffic periods.
• Support law enforcement, first responders, and authorized personnel during emergencies, evacuations, and/or investigations while following post orders and established protocols.

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
