Security Officer

We are looking for a Security Officer to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.

Under the general guidance of the Assistant Director of Security, the Security Officer assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. The Security Officer will maintain a high-visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report.

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Patrol the outside and inside perimeter of the property, ensuring that reports are made to the Assistant Director of Security if there is a potential safety issue.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers.
• Minimize opportunities for loss or damage, anticipate potential problems, and react to disturbances and prohibited conduct.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Prepare written reports.
• Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
• Perform first aid or CPR.
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
• Remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations.
• Recognize that the hospitality industry may require providing lateral service.
• Be prepared to perform various related tasks on a routine basis in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
