** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, unusual occurrences, and patrol findings in accordance with site procedures.

+ Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate clearly with supervisors, law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or other authorized personnel when required.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Possess a college degree.

+ Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.

+ Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton are preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
