Salary Range: $30.00 To $35.00 Hourly

Essential Functions: Diagnose, adjust and overhaul of marine machinery on all vessels and equipment operated by FICA. Maintain preventive maintenance protocol to ensure optimum fleet operation.

Responsibilities:

Performs preventive and routine maintenance on all vessels, trolleys, ramps and any other marine related equipment.
Perform in house repairs on main engines, generators, electrical, hydraulic and air systems.
Respond to equipment casualties and determine strategy for repair
Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and procedures
Present professional attire at all times
Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance, repairs and observations
Comply with all Fisher Island standards, policies and procedures.
Supervise and teach other mechanics with the operation needs.
Communicate (read, write, speak) professionally
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Maintain working areas clean.

Education/ Skills/ Work Experience Required

High School Diploma and trade school certificates
(5) years of experience with Marine diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems.
Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals.
Excellent communication skills (speak, read, write English)
Ability to multitask and work a flexible schedule
