Job Overview
As a Maintenance Staff Member, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment are operational and properly maintained, and that all common areas are kept clean, aesthetically appealing, and disinfected.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine walk-throughs of floors, including roof inspections, to identify problems and report to supervisors.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Maintain a working relationship with building staff.
- Paint common areas as needed and advise manager when additional painting is required.
- Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
- Perform casual labor, such as lifting or moving heavy items, under supervision and according to safety procedures.
- Execute minor maintenance replacements and repairs in carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other building repairs through scheduled work orders.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform maintenance replacements and repairs that do not require a permit.
- Use new equipment safely and in accordance with safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance, or handy work.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Multilingual fluency is desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs following proper safety procedures.
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods; reach overhead; move freely in upper and lower body.
- Work in various positions (stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting) for extended periods; climb stairs and navigate the property rapidly.
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders.
- Work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity).
- Repeat motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Occasionally lift, pull, and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Communicate and exchange ideas by spoken and written word.
- Maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.

Compensation$20 – $21 per hour.
