Salary Range: $62,700.00 To $73,800.00 Annually
Position Summary:We are searching for a Staff Accountant II to join our accounting team supporting our dialysis and substance abuse treatment operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with advanced technical skills, a talent for regulatory filings, and a proactive approach to process improvement. You'll take ownership of higher-level accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and perform complex general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/quarter-end close activities.
- Prepare, review, and file personal property tax returns, CAT Q and workers' compensation filings, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and maintain corporate registrations, business licenses, and related documentation for all company entities.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for transaction processing, and process enhancements.
- Partner with auditors during annual audits and support ad hoc projects related to compliance, budgeting, or process improvement.
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and internal control enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in healthcare or substance abuse treatment.
- Strong working knowledge of multi state and local tax compliance, and business registrations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus, but not required.
