Overview

Tire Kingdom & Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Miami Gardens, FL area. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles as a leader in undercar repairs.
• Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount/mount, rotate and balance tires.

Required:

(1) at least 18 years old; (2) legally authorized to work in the United States; (3) 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent education/training; (4) an extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.

Preferred: (1) state inspection license(s); (2) ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical requirements:

active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive movements; regularly lifting and/or moving items weighing over 50 pounds.
