Role Description

The Adjunct Radiography Instructor is an on‑site position based in Miami Gardens, FL. This role is responsible for planning and delivering didactic and laboratory instruction in radiography, following program curricula and accreditation standards. The instructor prepares lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and grading criteria to support course objectives and student learning outcomes. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include teaching classes, demonstrating radiographic procedures and imaging techniques, supervising learners in lab settings, and providing constructive feedback on performance.

The instructor also maintains accurate academic records, participates in faculty meetings and program evaluations, supports learner retention and success, and upholds institutional policies, safety protocols, and clinical best practices.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in radiography, including radiographic positioning, exposure techniques, image evaluation, radiation safety, and use of current imaging equipment.
  • Experience teaching, training, precepting, or mentoring in an academic or clinical environment, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, with a commitment to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and learning technologies (e.g., LMS platforms, presentation software, electronic resources) used for instruction and grading.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography (or equivalent) and eligibility for state licensure as required; compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Recent clinical experience in diagnostic radiography; prior experience in a college, vocational, or allied health education setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work a consistent on‑site schedule in Miami Gardens, FL, including potential evening or weekend assignments based on program needs.
  • Commitment to learner‑centered teaching, continuous professional development, and collaboration with faculty, staff, and clinical partners.
