The Gus Machado College of Business mas University invites applications for a pool of qualified adjunct faculty members to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses as instructional needs arise. Assignments may be available in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, international business, logistics and supply chain management, business analytics, data analytics, management information systems, cybersecurity management, hospitality and tourism, sports administration, fashion merchandising, healthcare administration, business law, and related disciplines.
This is a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment. Courses may be offered during the day or evening and in on-ground, online, accelerated, or hybrid formats. Placement in the applicant pool does not guarantee an interview or teaching assignment. Appointments are contingent upon enrollment, program needs, successful credential review, and completion of all University hiring requirements.

Adjunct faculty members contribute current professional expertise and help students connect academic theory to real-world business challenges.
Potential Teaching Areas:
- Accounting: financial, managerial, cost, auditing, taxation, accounting information systems, governmental accounting, and related subjects.
- Finance and Economics: corporate finance, investments, financial markets, managerial economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and quantitative methods.
- Management and Human Resources: organizational behavior, strategic management, project management, leadership, human resources, ethics, and small business management.
- Marketing and Entrepreneurship: principles of marketing, advertising, branding, retail management, international marketing, entrepreneurship, and business development.
- International Business, Logistics, and Supply Chain: global management, sourcing, import/export, intermodal logistics, operations, and supply chain management.
- Analytics, Technology, and Information Systems: business analytics, data management, visualization, statistical analysis, management information systems, and information security.
- Industry-Focused Programs: sports administration, healthcare administration, fashion merchandising, internships, and professional development.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accordance with approved course descriptions, learning outcomes, master syllabi, academic calendars, and University policies.
- Prepare and maintain an accurate course syllabus using the University-approved format and post required course materials in the learning management system before the start of the course.
- Deliver engaging, inclusive, and academically rigorous instruction that connects theory, ethical decision-making, and contemporary professional practice.
- Use Canvas or the designated learning management system to communicate with students, distribute materials, collect assignments, provide feedback, and maintain current grades.
- Assess student learning through appropriate examinations, written work, presentations, projects, case analyses, experiential activities, or other methods aligned with course learning outcomes.
- Submit attendance, early-alert information, midterm grades, final grades, and other required reports accurately and by established deadlines.
- Provide timely, substantive feedback and maintain regular availability for student questions, consultation, academic guidance, and referrals to University support services.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of attendance, grades, communications, and assessment evidence in compliance with University requirements and applicable law.
- Collaborate with the program director, lead faculty, and other instructors to support consistency across multiple sections and continuous improvement of curriculum and instruction.
- Participate, as requested, in adjunct orientation, faculty meetings, assessment activities, course reviews, professional development, accreditation support, and College initiatives.
- Maintain professional expertise through ongoing engagement with current research, technology, industry standards, professional organizations, or relevant practice.
