GL Staffing is seeking an Industrial Engineer specializing in Process Improvement and Operations to analyze, design, and implement continuous improvements across pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, optimize resource utilization, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role requires strong project management and structured problem-solving skills to drive operational excellence.
Shift/ Working Hours
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Mon-Fri
- Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Lead and manage process improvement projects from definition through implementation
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone, A3)
- Design and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Optimize workflows, cycle times, production capacity, and resource utilization
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
- Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap, productivity, and efficiency
- Support process validation and revalidation activities
- Lead root cause analysis and define Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Participate in internal and external audits related to operations and processes
- Train operational personnel on new processes, methodologies, and standards
- Successful delivery of improvement projects (scope, timeline, results)
- Cycle time reduction
- Operational efficiency / OEE improvement
- Waste and rework reduction
- Production plan adherence
- Cost savings from process improvements
Preferred Qualifications Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- 5–10 years of experience in industrial engineering and process improvement within manufacturing environments
- Proven experience in project development and execution
- Preferred experience in pharmaceutical, food, or medical device industries
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
- GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar regulatory standards
- Process mapping (VSM), time and motion studies
- Project management tools and methodologies
- KPI management and statistical analysis tools
