We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Estimator to join our dynamic Construction team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a solid background in construction management and estimating to play a critical role in our company's continued growth and success. As Chief Estimator, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all estimation activities, including RFP/Q preparation, cost analysis, and personnel management.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the entire estimating process for all projects from conception to closeout.

Prepare detailed and comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.

Interpret and review system drawings to identify potential cost issues and provide cost‑effective solutions.

Interface with clients, vendors, and various project stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate and comprehensive.

Analyze and evaluate bidding risks and strategies; present estimate and related information to project teams and clients as needed.

Lead the training and development of the estimating team to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Collaborate with the project management team to follow up on bids and budgets to close the business.

Stay updated with the latest estimating technology and industry best practices.

Qualifications

A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in construction management and a strong understanding of the engineering industry.

Exceptional skills in project management and team leadership.

Proficiency in using estimating software and other related computer software.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present information effectively to clients and project teams.

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality work.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex pricing negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
