WE’RE HIRING: CNC OPERATOR

Burca Elevator & Metal Works Inc. is looking for an experienced and dependable CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team.

We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced steel fabrication and manufacturing environment.

• Set up and operate CNC machinery according to production requirements and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and measurements.
• Work with steel and other metal materials, understanding their basic characteristics and fabrication requirements.
• Load materials and properly position work pieces in CNC machines.
• Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations required for fabrication and machining.
• Accurately work with fractions, decimals, dimensions, and measurements.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust when necessary.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or quality concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Work closely with the fabrication and production team to meet production schedules and quality expectations.

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a steel or metal fabrication environment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of measurements and dimensional calculations.
• Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work confidently with fractions and decimals, including converting between them when necessary.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure, including fractional measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials associated with the position.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

• Competitive Pay: $25–$27/hour.
