Inventory Clerk

Description

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team at a school spirit store in Miami Gardens, Florida. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing inventory, supporting daily store operations, and providing excellent customer service. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility to work occasional evenings or Saturdays based on school events.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including apparel and merchandise.

- Provide friendly and efficient customer service while assisting with sales.

- Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly and securely.

- Collaborate with the on-site supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations of the store.

- Organize and restock inventory to keep the store well-stocked and orderly.

- Assist in preparing for school events that may require adjustments to the store schedule.

- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies promptly.

- Support annual physical inventory processes and tracking.

- Utilize inventory tracking systems to manage store assets effectively

Requirements

- Previous experience in retail or customer service roles.

- Proficiency in handling cash and processing credit card payments.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and processes.

- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to schedule changes.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.

- Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends.

- Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
