Viridian Staffing's () Client is looking for an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join an in house testing facility in the Miami, Florida, Area
Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the cannabis industry's original recruiting firm and the leading full-service cannabis staffing agency, providing executive search, HR consulting, & temp staffing, coast-to-coast.
In this role, you will oversee the in house testing facility of a Cannabis company. You'll get the opportunity to develop, refine and validate analytical methods that are in compliance with requirements set by the State of Florida. Using your proven success in testing accuracy, you will develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), which you will eventually train a team of other Chemists on as well.
While developing these SOP's/workflows, you'll ensure that you and the team are in compliance with all regulations and SOPs relating to safety, security, and health as well. You have a 'roll up your sleeves' approach, as you will be the sole Chemist in this laboratory for some time. You'll use your exceptional written and verbal communication skills, to help convey test results, and when necessary, recommend solutions to the product development team.
Ideally, your background should be a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or relevant degree, with 3+ years' experience of laboratory operation experience and ideally at least 1+ years of experience operating a cannabis testing lab. You are results driven and are self-directed, in addition to being exceptionally detail oriented.
