Electrical Technician
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment and parts, such as control panels, PLC’s and electronic circuits. This position requires extensive knowledge of electronic components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. Professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:- Must have understanding and expertise with PLC Controls.
- Responsible for calibrating and checking instrument.
- Knowledge of the utilization of every tool, which may include drills, mechanical saws, sanders, and buffers.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on production equipment.
- Wire machines and electrical and electronic panels in line with prints.
- Browse blueprints and lots of schematics and use an array of tools and diagnostic devices to service and install electrical components.
- Regular attendance is a requirement - Other duties may be assigned.
Experience:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in a related field, or;
- 10 years of experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment, or;
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic experience.
- Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting.
- Must be familiar with industrial and electrical laws.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution driven skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in Automation and conveyors.
- Able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions.
- Possess strong electrical, electronic and mechanical abilities.
- Must be able to use basic tools and machinery.
Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and utilize common scientific and technical journals.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and utilize the most complex documents in English.
- Must be able to speak English or Spanish
Skills:
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
