Warehouse Forklift Operator

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Miami Gardens, FL. The position offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License (certified)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment and build professional relationships at all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
• High level of accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lb and stand for long periods of time
• Capability to adhere to health and safety procedures
• Flexibility to work various shifts and a flexible schedule
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick and pack orders, audit, induct totes, stage products, and handle loading/unloading of trucks
• Manage day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Execute additional duties as assigned
